What issues should be considered when inspecting stainless steel welded wire mesh?

Apr. 21, 2026

There are many types of materials used in stainless steel welded wire mesh, including cold-drawn steel wire, galvanized wire, hot-dip galvanized wire, and drawn wire. Surface treatments include hot-dip galvanizing, cold-dip galvanizing, and powder coating. These vibrant meshes are widely used in exhibitions, sample racks, etc.

How should the raw materials for stainless steel welded wire mesh be inspected before production? Below is a brief introduction, which we hope will be helpful.

Before cold drawing, check each indicator, or use a dynamometer to check. Once confirmed to be correct, the steel wire can be used. Records should be kept during use.

After two draws, check the surface for cracks or necking. After cold drawing, the wire surface is prone to rust, so rust prevention measures should be taken.

During use, the cold drawing speed of stainless steel welded wire mesh should not be too fast. The belt should be pulled to the specified length or the specified control stress and then stopped. If the weld joint breaks, it can be re-welded and then cold-drawn, but no more than twice.

Inspection of the stainless steel welded wire mesh should be completed before acceptance, ensuring there are no cracks or mechanical damage.

The above is the relevant information about stainless steel welded wire mesh. We hope it will be helpful to you.
